Cape Town International Airport Digital Screen

Cape Town International Airport

A project at the Cape Town International Airport provided us with some unique challenges, which turned out surprisingly well to our advantage. Kwantum Advertising contacted AfriClad, a division of First African Holdings, to clad a digital screen at the airport which was about 10m x 18m. But there were a couple of other interesting specifications to the project: the cladding needed to fit perfectly around the digital screen and it needed to be waterproof.

Southern Sun OR Tambo Airport

Southern Sun OR Tambo International

The Southern Sun Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg needed a cladding specialist to revamp its exterior. The already existing fascia had become problematic due to its high maintenance costs, and so had to be replaced.

First African Holdings was contracted to design, manufacture and install new aluminum composite material (ACM) fascia for the hotel. The fascia was to cover 67m2 and would be manufactured out of Hulabond ACM to match the existing cladding on the rest of the building.
